Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, claims prominent Beverly Hills Doctor Arnie Klein routinely issued Jackson and other celebrities with prescription drugs in exchange for access to their social circles.
Rowe claims dermatologist Dr. Klein provided large amounts of drugs to Jackson just prior to his death, during a bombshell interview with “TMZ Investigates Who Really Killed Michael Jackson.” Rowe worked for Dr. Klein for decades and alleges that he habitually exchanged large quantities of pills and medications to the rich and famous for the opportunity to be part of their prestigious parties, according to TMZ.
The teaser video for the interview began with the voice of a narrator. “Dr Conrad Murray was convicted of killing Michael Jackson but that wasn’t the real story,” the narrator said.
The camera then flipped to show Debbie Rowe in her first-ever interview as she revealed her perspective about the Dr. Klein’s relationship with celebrities.
“They would ask Dr. Klein to write a prescription because they were having a party, and a bunch of people were coming and they wanted to have party favors,” Rowe said in the interview.
She went on to explain the process for procuring the medications. “We had some powerful patients that would come in and say ‘I’m , I need to get 90 Percocet for Saturday night.’ and then you’d go to the party that weekend and there’s a candy dish with Percocet or Quaaludes or something like that,” Rowe said. Rowe claimed Dr. Klein was happy to oblige in return for an invitation to the parties.
“And they came from the office by trading drugs for the invitation. The inclusion. Ya he just wanted to be in that group,” she said.
Rowe alleged that Dr. Klein provided Jackson with large doses of Demerol on a near-daily basis during the months leading up to his death, according to TMZ.
The documentary also includes an interview with the lead detective in Jackson’s case, who states it was unfair to solely blame Dr. Conrad Murray for Jackson’s death. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, according to TMZ.
The exclusive interview airs Tuesday at 8pm on Fox.
