The vast majority of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams have funded or promoted organizations that participated in providing sex change surgeries for children, an analysis from National Review shows.
MLB made the decision in April of last year to move the league’s all-star game out of Atlanta, Georgia, in protest of an election law in the state that would require voter ID for absentee ballots. Following the move, the league’s net favorability rating among Republicans plummeted. According to a Morning Consult poll, MLB’s favorability rating fell 35 points from 47 points to 12. MLB’s website features information on “Understanding Racism & Social Justice” and promotes books such as Robin DiAngelo’s “White Fragility.” The website encourages fans to “seek out books to educate yourself about the history of systemic racism across the world.” The page also includes a link to find “your local Black Lives Matter Chapter.”
Of the “Big Three” of American professional sports—MLB, NBA and NFL—professional baseball’s fan base generally polls as the most conservative. (It’s edged just slightly out by the NHL).

“For all the controversy, these high-profile fights surrounding professional baseball’s flirtation with progressive cultural causes, thus far, have been largely symbolic,” writes National Review’s Nate Hochman, who first reported on MLB teams’ support for child sex changes. “But one far less-noticed — and much more significant — aspect of the league’s leftward shift concerns its promotion, directly and indirectly, of gender transitions for minors.” (RELATED: REPORT: Children’s Hospital CEO Doubles Down On Trans Surgeries For Minors In Letter To Employees)
Twenty-nine out of 30 MLB teams, with the exception of the Texas Rangers, have hosted a ‘Pride night’ at their stadiums during games. Twenty out of the 29 teams that hosted pride nights promoted or funded organizations that were involved in child sex change surgeries, some for children as young as 12.
The @Yankees went woke on May 26th.
Before going woke, they were the best team in baseball at 33-13 with a .705 win %.
Since May 27th, they’ve limped through the summer, going 48-41, a measly .539 win %.
As a great Yankees fan once said, “everything woke turns to sh*t.”

Hochman previously reported in May that the Detroit Tigers’ Pride Night included an option at checkout when costumers purchased tickets online to donate to LGBT organizations, including Ruth Ellis Center and Corktown Health, both of which perform medical sex changes on minors. Another group listed, the Trans Sistas of Color Project, encouraged underage youth to “make their own decisions regarding puberty blockers” even if that meant doing so “without…the consent of a parent.”
Hochman’s findings were chilling. The Boston Red Sox made a $200,000 donation to Fenway Health in 2018 to celebrate an LGBT “Spirit Day.” Fenway Health provides puberty blockers to children as young as 12-years-old and sex change surgeries to teens. The Milwaukee Brewers has partnered with Aurora Health, an organization which provides hormone therapy to minors.
Several MLB teams also partnered with organizations that referred teenagers to centers that would perform gender reassignment surgery on them or provide puberty blockers and other hormone therapies. The Los Angeles Dodgers Pride Night gave half the proceeds of a raffle to the Trans Wellness Center, which provides “various supportive services for Transition Age Youth, ages 16-24” as well as “gender affirming surgery referrals.” The San Diego Padres Pride Night donated part of ticket proceeds to San Diego Pride. San Diego Pride provides grants to several organizations, including North County LGBTQ Resource Center, which promotes a practice known as “chest binding” to underage girls to “help” them appear more like a boy. A post to the group’s Instagram shows a drag queen applying drag makeup to a child.
“Hochman added that MLB executives could feel pressure from both sides. ‘Like a lot of corporate leaders, they’re not necessarily far-left ideologues. They’re just driven by incentive structure.’”@DailySignal https://t.co/d1wMf3fDAn

During the Washington Nationals Pride Night, Admiral Rachel Levin, who opposes restricting gender transition surgeries for young children, made a guest appearance.

Baseball has been following the leftward shift of most professional sports for some time, albeit at a slower pace than football or basketball. Still, in 2020 some baseball players began “taking a knee” during the national anthem, following the lead of activist and former NFL player Colin Kaepernick. Baseball’s affinity for organizations that promote or provide sex change surgeries or hormone therapy is just the latest example of “America’s past time” going woke.
