Candace Cameron Bure, best known for becoming a child star from her role on “Full House,” made a career move that helps her promote her Christian roots through Christmas movies.
The famous actress cut ties with the Hallmark Channel in April and shifted gears by taking her talents to American cable television network Great American Family. Cameron Bure says she is focusing her efforts and talents more on faith-based Christmas movies with purpose, according to Fox News reported Tuesday.
“I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” she told The Wall Street Journal earlier this year.

Cameron Bure wasn’t facing any shortage of acting opportunities when she was with Hallmark. She worked with the entertainment giant for over a decade and starred in a total of 10 holiday movies and 30 overall films, according to The Wall Street Journal. As a devout Christian, Cameron Bure wanted to shift her focus to projects that were meaningful to her on a personal level.
“My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” she told The Wall Street Journal. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.” (RELATED: Lindsay Lohan Makes A Comeback)
Her personal belief system aligns with The Great American Family and the actress is excited to dive in to projects that put ‘Christ’ back into ‘Christmas.’
“I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” Cameron Bure told The Wall Street Journal.
“I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose,” she said.
