The woman who owns the home Anne Heche crashed her car into is reportedly suing the late actress’ estate for at least $2 million in damages.
Documents filed in court reveal that Lynne Mishele was at home with her pets when Heche drove her Mini Cooper into the house, without warning, according to TMZ. Mishele claims that the car stopped just a few feet away from her, her dogs and her tortoise. She also claims that since the incident she continues to suffer from trauma related to loud noises, is having nightmares and flashbacks of the crash, and is scared of walking outside, according to TMZ.

Mishele reportedly has nowhere to live and alleges most of her belongings were completely burnt as a result of the fire that ignited when Heche’s car crashed, according to TMZ. In the suit filed against Heche’s estate, Mishele claims she was displaced after the crash, and she’s going after the actress’ estate to cover the costs.
Heche lost control of her vehicle on Aug. 5, in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles and was trapped in her car for over 45 mins while over 60 firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, according to USA Today. She slipped into a coma while in the hospital and died shortly after on Aug. 11. Heche’s organs were donated, as part of her lifelong wish, according to ET.
