A comedian claimed during a bit that Republicans would be more likely to win the zombie apocalypse than liberals.
I believe the theory in principle, but let me just tell you that this has not panned out in my life.
When I was in college we had to take a Writing 101 class — like all freshmen do — and I picked a random class because it timed up with my schedule. I showed up on the first day and this class is themed “Writing for the Zombie Apocalypse.”
First off, why are we writing for the zombie apocalypse? Ain’t no way I got time to sit down and write during a zombie apocalypse. There are zombies coming after me!
For the class, we watched episodes of the Walking Dead and read zombie apocalypse books. And you’re probably thinking that it’s weird, but sounds easy.
Wrong.
I had to ground myself from going to parties for a week because for a week I was failing zombie apocalypse class. The teacher hated me for being conservative and gave me a 0.0 on a paper I turned in. And I tried so hard in this class — yes, I ultimately did pass it — and it was one of the most difficult classes in my life.
So here is a conservative that would not make it through the zombie apocalypse because she couldn’t even make it through zombie apocalypse class. I’ll freely admit it.
