Bobbi Ercoline, famous for being immortalized on the cover of Woodstock’s live album, died at the age of 73.

Her husband Nick Ercoline confirmed her death on Facebook. He was also in the iconic photo that will forever capture that moment of time in their lives.

“It’s with beyond great sadness that I tell my FB family and friends, that after 54 years of life together, of the death of my beautiful wife, Bobbi, last night surrounded by her family,” Nick wrote to Facebook. “She lived her life well, and left this world in a much better place.”

“If you knew her, you loved her. She lived by her saying, “‘Be kind,’” Nick said.

“As a School Nurse she always championed the kids … ALWAYS! As a person, she always gave,” he wrote.

“How much do you really need if you have all you need or want? So she gave and gave and gave,” Nick said.

Bobbi’s cause of death was not immediately revealed, but Nick’s social media post alluded to a physical ailment.

“She didn’t deserve this past years nightmare, but she isn’t suffering from the physical pain anymore and that brings some comfort to us,” Nick wrote. (RELATED: Heidi Klum Ditches The Bra As The Vogue Greece Cover Girl)

Nick and Bobbie were one of more than 400,000 fans who attended Woodstock at a farm in Bethel, New York, in August 1969. The historic festival was the scene of legendary performances by stars such as Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead and Creedence Clearwater Revival, according to People. The image of the two of them in an embrace became the cover of the 1970 album Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More.

Bobbie and Nick were married for 54 years and shared two sons.
